Slow Cooker Bourbon Street Beef Meatballs: These slow cooker bourbon street beef meatballs are my go-to trick for saving dinner on those nights when things get too busy to cook. They’re also perfect for game day or a potluck table. I use frozen, already-cooked meatballs and a bottle of bourbon glaze to keep the work simple, then toss in a few pantry items to turn it all into a sweet, savory, sticky snack that tastes like you spent hours on it — even though you really didn’t.

You can serve these meatballs right out of the slow cooker with toothpicks for a fun party bite, or spoon them over white rice, mashed potatoes, or buttered noodles for an easy dinner. They also taste great next to roasted broccoli, green beans, or a crunchy slaw, which helps balance out the rich, sticky glaze.

These sticky bourbon glazed meatballs are a lifesaver for busy nights and easy parties alike. Made with frozen precooked meatballs and just a handful of pantry ingredients, they simmer low and slow into a sweet, savory glaze everyone loves. Perfect for game day, potlucks, or a fuss-free family dinner with barely any prep work.

Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen precooked beef meatballs
  • 1 bottle (18 ounces) bourbon glaze sauce
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Slow Cooker Bourbon Street Beef Meatballs: Directions

  1. Add the meatballs. Open the bag of frozen precooked beef meatballs and pour them straight into your slow cooker. There’s no need to thaw them first — they’ll heat up and soften as they cook.
  2. Pour in the sauces. Add the bourbon glaze sauce, barbecue sauce, and soy sauce over the meatballs. Sprinkle the garlic powder evenly on top so it doesn’t clump in one spot.
  3. Mix it all together. Using a large spoon, gently stir the meatballs so every piece gets coated in the sauce mixture. Take your time here so the flavor spreads evenly through the whole batch.
  4. Cook low and slow. Put the lid on the slow cooker. Cook on low heat for 3 to 4 hours, or on high heat for 1½ to 2 hours. If you’re around, stir once or twice during cooking to help the sauce coat the meatballs evenly. You’ll know they’re ready when the meatballs are hot all the way through and the sauce has thickened into a sticky glaze.
  5. Serve them warm. Once the meatballs are done, switch your slow cooker to the “warm” setting if you’re serving them over time, like at a party. Or, scoop them into a serving bowl right away. For a little extra color and flavor, sprinkle some sliced green onions on top before serving.
