Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 4 frozen raw beef patties
- 1 jar hot dog chili (about 10 to 15 ounces)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup finely diced onion
- 4 hamburger buns
Slow Cooker Chili Cheese Burgers: Directions
- If you want, spray a little nonstick spray inside the slow cooker. Then put the frozen beef patties in the bottom. It’s okay if they overlap a bit.
- Open the jar of hot dog chili and spoon it evenly on top of the beef patties, making sure each one is well covered. Sprinkle the diced onion over the chili.
- Put the lid on the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours, until the burgers are fully cooked and feel soft and tender. In the last 10 minutes, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top. Cover again and let it cook until the cheese melts completely.
- Put each cooked burger patty on a hamburger bun. Spoon some more chili from the slow cooker on top of each burger. Then serve it while it is still hot.
